►100.000 GARDEN PICTURES
Modeste Herwig Garden Pictures is an extensive Dutch based garden picture library. Botanical garden photographer Modeste Herwig's archive contains over 100.000 high quality transparencies and digital images. Garden pictures, flower pictures and images on practical gardening. Modeste Herwig offers the best in flower photography, close up macro botanical pictures, flower portraits, plant pictures and whole garden scenes. Stock images as well as commisioned work.

Some 35.000 garden photo's are online, we are adding more pictures every day from our photo-library. Please ask if you are looking for something special.
You can select pictures yourself by using the search tool or ask our well-trained staff to find the best pictures for your needs.
This site also shows garden images made by garden photographer and the world's best selling garden book writer Rob Herwig. 

►FAMILY HISTORY
Modeste Herwig studied Dutch but could not resist following the footsteps of her father Rob Herwig and her grandfather Arend Jan Herwig. Love for plants and interest in garden architecture has always been present with her and she started gardening and taking pictures of plants when she was 15 years old. Her grandfather Arend jan Herwig started writing about gardening, her father Rob Herwig is the world best seller author on gardening books with over 9 million copies sold in 22 languages. His extensive photo-library is now available through Modeste.

Modeste started with working for eight years in the model gardens of her father in Lunteren and also gave some 300 lectures about gardening. She travels a lot in Holland and abroad to photograph garden plants and new ideas on garden design. Modeste has now made 33 books on gardening and made all the text and photo’s herself, she also works for magazines and publishers in Holland, England and Germany. In 2009 her book 'Kinderleicht' was rewarded with the DGG Buchpreis (best German garden book). In 2012 her 36st book Tuinfotografie (garden photography) came out in The Netherlands. 3 garden books in Germany.

Since January 2009 she started her cooperation with www.garden-collection.com, in 2010 with www.visionspictures.com and www.photoshot.com and in 2012 with www.gardenworldimages.com.

The translation of the book De familiemoestuin was awarded the DGG-Buchpreis 
(best German gardenbook 2008).

The picture shows the official delivery of the price on the flower island Mainau (South Germany) by the president Karl Zwermann.
